Starting in Spain you cross the "Strait of Gibraltar" to reach African soil for the first time on your journey. You spend your first night in Morocco in the blue "pirate city" of the Rif-Mountains Chefchaouen, before heading south. Your next stop is Fes. It is the biggest car free urban area in the world and populates 156.000 inhabitants. The donkey is still one of the most use transport methods. Mosques, minarets, tanneries, open butchers, things you can't even imagine of, will pass your way. The tanneries of Chuwwara haven't change the work processes since centuries and is a must in your cameras. The following day will lead us to the small village Merzouga where you experience a night in the desert. You continue riding to Dades, the scenery there is significant for its views of interesting rock formations, the green by the river, the rocky desert surroundings and the simple communities which are still living here in traditional houses. The next day our ride continues towards Marrakech, which is called also the "Red City"or "Ochre City", where you have the opportunity to see the Jemaa el Fna (square of the beheaded) at night. Visit the story-tellers, magicians, snake charmers and eat at one of the hundred food stands to enjoy every single bit of the feeling of being in an Indiana Jones movie! Your next stop is located along the Atlantic coast: Casablanca, the largest city in Morocco and the country's economic and business center. Staying a night in Arcila, a fortified town on the northwest tip of the Atlantic coast, you will finish your loop through Morocco. Leaving Africa, you will enter Spain and later on ride along the Spanish Mediterranean coast back to our base town Malaga, which is a great way to end a motorcyclists dream vacation.
Cities like Fes, Merzouga, Marrakech and Casablance are the great highlights along your way and as well as the night in the desert. Riding-wise you will surely enjoy the numerous turns of the Atlas Mountains while sightseeing tours in Marrakech and Casablanca will make your heart beat faster. This tour is a perfect combination from great sightseeing, experiencing a completely different culture and incredible landscape.
