Starting in Spain we’ll cross the "Strait of Gibraltar" to reach African soil for the first time on your journey. You spend your first night in the blue "pirate city" of the Rif-Mountains,
Chefchaouen before heading south. We will continue the ride through the Atlas Mountains towards Marrakech. Turns, turns and turns will bring us passed the Cascades d'Ouzoud and the source of the
biggest river Morocco’s (Oum er Rbia), where we will stop for a fantastic thé la mente.
On the way further down south we are going to stop in Fes. The famous old part of the city is really worth a visit. The pictures of the leather tanning area are a must in your cameras. The
following day will lead us to Afourer.
After an enjoyable ride in the mountains we are going to arrive in Marrakech where we will spend a rest day. In Marrakech you have the opportunity to visit the Jemaa el Fna (square of the
beheaded) at night. Visit the story-tellers, magicians, snake charmers and eat at one of the hundred food stands to enjoy every single bit of the feeling of being in an Indiana Jones movie.
Now it’s time for some royalty. We’re heading for Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Together with Fès, Meknès und Marrakesch each of these cities have been the capital of Morocco in different
periods. Following the coastline in a northern direction we will come up to one of the most important harbors in northern Africa, Tangier. It is located on the Maghreb coast at the western
entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean of Cape Spartel.
Leaving Africa, we will enter Spain and later on ride along the Spanish Atlantic coast before we cross the border to Portugal. The name Algarve is not only familiar to golf players. There are a
lot of possibilities to enjoy this sport. On our way towards Lisbon we are going to leave the coast and enjoy perfect mountain roads with no traffic. A great way to end a motorcyclists dream.
