Alps Riding Center

Our Alps Riding Center starts in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, at the foot of the Zugspitze. At 2.962 m, this is Germany's highest mountain and the region's landmark. We ride in a different direction every day and return to the base hotel in the evening. The advantage of this tour is that you are free to decide each day whether you want to take part in the day tour or relax in the hotel.

You may know the situation: Your partner understands your enthusiasm for motorcycling and wants to give you the opportunity to live out your passion on vacation, but the hassle of changing hotels every day and the obligation to reach the next hotel is a bit much to ask. Well, here is our offer: We have a centrally located hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and offer daily rides. We leave from the same hotel every morning and return later in the afternoon. If your partner wants to accompany you, you will experience various Alpine passes, perfect roads and constantly changing landscapes together. However, if culture, sightseeing or a shopping spree are on the agenda, you can spend the day separately and share your new impressions in the evening. Off you go to beautiful farms, green meadows and pastures, lakes and friendly locals. The region offers plenty of well-known places that will put a smile on every motorcyclist's face. Regardless of whether we are heading towards the Bavarian Alpine foothills or riding through the Ötztal to the Timmelsjoch. A fantastic new motorcycle museum has been built at the top of the Timmelsjoch and on the border to Italy, and then it's time for hairpin bends and Italian traffic chaos. We always experience perfectly maintained roads with countless bends and hairpin bends and locals who are on their own motorcycles. The Stelvio Pass is an absolute MUST and a highlight of this tour. Ready for 48 switchbacks? Then let's get going. Once at the top, Bruno awaits us with his famous and delicious sausages. Walt Disney was inspired by the Bavarian Neuschwanstein Castle. It's close enough to pay a visit to King Ludwig's castle. Or do you feel like cooling off? Fine, we'll head to the glacier. The Grossglockner is the highest mountain in Austria, so the road is high enough to look down onto the glacier. The Alps Riding Center offers the possibility of adapting the route to the current weather conditions at short notice. A daily glance at the weather forecast will show us the way. Our Alps Riding Center takes place in the heart of the Alps. Garmisch-Partenkirchen is so centrally located that we can reach the most beautiful passes and sights directly on our daily rides.

Tour description
Day  01 Arrival in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

We meet at 17:00 for a welcome briefing and you will receive the most important information for the next few days.

Day  02 Trip to Bad Tölz and Ursprung Pass

The journey through the Bavarian Alpine foothills offers impressive views of majestic mountains, crystal-clear lakes and green valleys right from the start. After a well-earned break in the historic old town of Bad Tölz, we continue towards Austria. We pass through charming villages and ride along winding roads to the "Tyrolean fjord", Lake Achensee. After a short break in this spectacular setting, we return to Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Day  03 Trip to the Timmelsjoch

We leave the Zugspitze behind us to reach Tyrol and finally South Tyrol in Italy. We finally reach the Timmelsjoch Pass via the Brenner Pass and the Jaufen Pass, which not only offers a challenging route with lots of bends, but also a fantastic panoramic view of the surrounding mountain ranges. An absolute highlight is the motorcycle museum in the middle of this breathtaking mountain scenery, which has been reopened after a fire. We leave this little motorcycle paradise and ride through spectacular Alpine valleys back to Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Day  04 Trip to the Stelvio Pass and Switzerland

The Stelvio Pass is the second highest pass road in the Alps. The "queen of pass roads" with its impressive 48 switchbacks is waiting to be conquered today. We cross Tyrol again to gather our strength for the Passo dello Stelvio adventure over a delicious Italian cappuccino in Glurns, the smallest town in Italy. We continue to Bormio and then into Switzerland. Challenging and winding roads through breathtaking mountain landscapes, past crystal-clear mountain lakes make our motorcyclists' hearts beat faster before we return to our base hotel at the foot of the Zugspitze.

Day  05 Trip to Neuschwanstein Castle

Lakes and castles, that could be today's motto. We explore the west of the Bavarian Alpine foothills. Two of King Ludwig II's castles are on today's route and are well worth a visit. Linderhof Castle and Neuschwanstein Castle, which famously served as inspiration for Walt Disney. A photo with the "Cinderella" castle in the background, a guided tour through the favorite castle of the "fairytale king", Linderhof Castle. Both are possible before we return to enjoying the charming landscape with its lakes, forests and mountains from the saddle of our motorcycles.

Day  06 Trip to the Grossglockner High Alpine Road

The snow-covered peaks of the Alps in the distance invite you to dream. We head south again and cross the border into Austria. The Grossglockner High Alpine Road takes us spectacularly into the realm of glaciers and quite close to one of these peaks. At 3,798m, the Großglockner is the highest mountain in Austria and part of the Hohe Tauern National Park. The Pasterze, the largest glacier in this region, and other breathtaking viewpoints make this day unforgettable. On our route, we cross four of Austria's nine federal states - Tyrol, Salzburg, Carinthia and East Tyrol - before crossing the border into Bavaria one last time and returning to our base hotel.

Day  07 Departure from Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Today your tour ends after breakfast and we wish you a safe journey home and hope to see you again soon on one of our tours.
