Start in the picturesque old town of Sibiu. The route leads south through Transylvania, over rolling hills, fields and small villages. A mix of historic fortified churches, rural culture and lots of nature. The destination is Craiova, a lively city with beautiful parks and neoclassical architecture.
A long drive across the Romanian-Bulgarian border. A varied landscape: plains along the Danube, then the mountains of Bulgaria with the first panoramic views. Arrival in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, which attracts visitors with its Orthodox churches, Roman ruins and lively city life.
Perfect for relaxing: thermal baths, wellness, wine tasting and Bulgarian hospitality.
The route leads through southwest Bulgaria and crosses the border into Greece. Mediterranean flair sets in: olive groves, mountains and the proximity to the Aegean Sea characterize the picture. The destination is Makri, a coastal village on the Thracian Sea.
A highlight of the tour! Along the Thracian coast towards Turkey. After crossing the border, the vibrant metropolis of Istanbul awaits - the bridge between Orient and Occident.
Time for sightseeing: Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace or a boat trip on the Bosphorus.
From the cosmopolitan city back to the Black Sea coast. This stage is long, but scenically beautiful: beaches, lagoons and small harbor towns. Burgas itself is a charming coastal town with a maritime flair.
The route continues north along the Black Sea coast. Coastal landscapes alternate with small fishing villages. Constanta, the largest port city in Romania, offers Roman ruins, beaches and a famous casino right by the sea.
From the coast inland. The landscape becomes flatter, the roads straighter. The destination is Bucharest, the "little Paris of the East", with its magnificent boulevards and the huge Palace of Parliament.
The final stage leads back to Transylvania. Scenic contrasts: from Wallachia across the Carpathians back to the old town of Sibiu, where the round trip ends.
Have a safe journey home! We hope to see you again soon on one of our tours.
