This varied round trip takes you through some of the most impressive landscapes in Andalusia. It combines coastal romance, desert adventures and cultural highlights to create an unforgettable experience.
The journey begins on the Costa del Sol in Benalmádena, a lively coastal town with a Mediterranean flair. From here, the route heads east along the coast. The first major destination is the Cabo de Gata Nature Park near Almería. With its wild cliffs, secluded beaches and bizarre volcanic landscapes, it is considered one of the most beautiful coastal regions in Spain. A perfect place for a stopover by the sea. From the coast, the route leads inland to the Tabernas desert, the only real desert in Europe. Numerous western films and famous cinema classics were shot here. We simply enjoy the barren, impressive landscape. Further north is the town of Guadix, famous for its cave districts. Many people still live in cave houses carved into the rock, which are pleasantly cool in summer and warm in winter. A stroll through the old town with its cathedral is also worthwhile. The next highlight is Granada, located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada. The world-famous Alhambra with its Moorish palaces is a must-see. The old town districts of Albaicín and Sacromonte also exude a unique charm. From Granada, the route finally heads back south along winding roads with magnificent views until you reach the Mediterranean coast again. The tour ends in Málaga, the capital of the Costa del Sol - a city full of culture, gastronomy and Andalusian lifestyle.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the coast, into the Andalusian mountains. This varied route combines the coastal landscape of the Costa del Sol with the green hills of the Montes de Málaga and finally leads to the wild volcanic landscape of the Cabo de Gata Natural Park.
This stage combines the rugged beauty of the coast with the barren fascination of the desert and finally leads into the cultural treasure trove of Andalusia.
The Tabernas desert, the only real desert in Europe. With its rugged gorges, bizarre rock formations and dusty plains, it offers a backdrop straight out of a western movie. In fact, numerous Hollywood classics have been filmed here - the drive through this landscape is an experience in itself.
We immerse ourselves in the world of the Sierra Nevada, snow-capped peaks, alpine plateaus, green valleys and crystal-clear mountain streams. The two highest mountains - the Mulhacén (3,479 m) and the Veleta (3,398 m)- are particularly striking.
Once in Granada, we enjoy the Albaicín, a labyrinth of narrow streets, white houses and small squares. From the viewpoints, such as the Mirador de San Nicolás, there is an unforgettable view of the Alhambra with the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada in the background.
We leave Granada at the foot of the Sierra Nevada. One last view of the Alhambra and the snow-covered mountain peaks of the Sierra Nevada before the road curves back towards the coast.
This route takes you from the historic splendor of Granada through the mountains of the Sierra Nevada down to the sun-drenched Costa Tropical - a contrast that is typical of Andalusia.
Leaving the mountains behind us, the route descends to the Mediterranean, passing through vast olive groves, fertile plains and rolling hills. Along the way, you will come across small white villages that lie like splashes of color in the landscape.
