Barcelona is one of Spain's most vibrant and culturally rich cities and our starting point on this tour. The first stage takes us to the Principality of Andorra, a small landlocked country in the eastern Pyrenees, between Spain and France. Andorra is known as a tax haven, but also for its mountainous landscape, which offers excellent conditions for winter sports, hiking and mountain biking. The tour continues to Montpellier, a vibrant city in the south of France, in the Occitanie region, known for its rich history, beautiful architecture and dynamic cultural scene. Via Grenoble, "the gateway to the Alps", we reach Chamonix, at the foot of Mont Blanc (4,808m). The "white mountain" is the highest mountain in the Alps and Western Europe. Chamonix hosted the Winter Olympics in 1924 and is a world-famous center for mountain sports and tourism. We reach Switzerland on impressive roads and spend the night in Andermatt, a small mountain village in the middle of the Swiss Alps, surrounded by numerous mountain passes, which show us the way to Austria the next day. We arrive in Feldkirch, a small town in the west of Austria, right on the border with Switzerland and close to Liechtenstein. This historic town is known for its well-preserved medieval old town, which is surrounded by an impressive city wall. Feldkirch offers a unique blend of historical charm and the breathtaking nature of the surrounding alpine landscape. The next stage ends at the foot of the Zugspitze. At 2,962 m, it is the highest mountain in Germany and an iconic landmark of the German Alps. In the "Year of the GS", the world's largest BMW motorcycle gathering returns to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and a visit to the BMW Motorrad Days is a real highlight.

After another rest day in Garmisch, we get back on our bikes and head to Livigno in Italy. Over spectacular Alpine passes and winding roads, we reach Italy's largest lake, Lake Garda, where we spend two nights. We use the rest day either to relax by the lake or on our motorcycle and enjoy a real paradise of bends.

We continue through the Dolomites to Lienz in Austria. One of the most beautiful panoramic roads in the Alps, the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, will amaze us once again before we finally reach Munich through the foothills of the Bavarian Alps, where this great motorcycle adventure through 7 countries comes to an end.

Day  02 Barcelona - Andorra

We leave the Catalan capital and head north. A fascinating route full of scenic beauty, cultural highlights and winding mountain roads takes us to the small principality of Andorra, known for its numerous ski resorts and beautiful natural landscapes that attract hikers and outdoor enthusiasts, but also for its tax-privileged shopping opportunities.

Day  03 Andorra - Montpellier

Today's stage offers an exciting opportunity to experience the diverse landscape and culture between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean region of southern France. After crossing spectacular Pyrenean passes and the French border, we pass breathtaking natural landscapes and historic towns on our way to Montpellier. Located 10km from the Mediterranean coast, it offers a mix of historic charm, excellent education and vibrant cultural life, making it an attractive destination for visitors and a wonderful place to live for its residents.

Day  04 Montpellier - Grenoble

We leave the Mediterranean coast and drive through Provence and the southern foothills of the Alps. This region is known for its breathtaking natural beauty, lavender fields and picturesque villages. On the way to Grenoble, known as the gateway to the Alps, the landscape changes dramatically and we ride past deep gorges, wide plateaus and steep cliffs.

Day  05 Grenoble - Chamonix

Today the journey takes us through some of the most spectacular landscapes of the French Alps, perfect for motorcyclists looking for adventure. Spectacular passes await you, which are also repeatedly part of the world-famous Tour de France. We enjoy the breathtaking panoramas of the surrounding mountains and finally arrive in Chamonix, located at the foot of Mont Blanc (4,808m).

Day  06 Chamonix - Andermatt

Our destination today is Andermatt, a charming mountain village that has developed into a renowned resort in recent years. It lies in the heart of the Swiss Alps and our route promises an extraordinary experience through some of the most breathtaking Alpine landscapes in Europe. Picturesque mountain villages, crystal clear lakes and some of the region's most famous passes await you, making this another highlight of the day.

Day  07 Andermatt - Feldkirch

Alpine passes for breakfast. That could be today's motto. As soon as we leave the hotel garage, we climb the Oberalp Pass and more spectacular passes follow. We cycle through picture postcard landscapes past crystal-clear lakes and picturesque Swiss mountain villages to Feldkirch in Austria, a historic town on the border with Switzerland with winding old town alleyways, romantic arcades and cozy cafés.

Day  08 Feldkirch - Garmisch-Partenkirchen

We leave the city behind us and head back into the mountains. Once again, winding roads and breathtaking landscapes await you. The mountains are a little less dramatic and we ride through the foothills of the Alps to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the venue for BMW Motorrad Days 2024.

Day  09 Visit *BMW Motorrad Days* Garmisch

We spend the day on the grounds of the *BMW Motorrad Days* in Garmisch.

Day  10 Rest day Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Relax at the hotel or on a hike, go back to the BMW Motorrad Days site and book a test ride on one of the new motorcycle models, or take a ride on your own motorcycle in the beautiful surroundings of Garmisch Partenkirchen. There are many ways to have a good time on your rest day in Garmisch. Enjoy it!

Day  11 Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Livigno

The next day's ride takes us through the Bavarian Alps, into Austria and on to Italy. After crossing the main Alpine ridge at the Reschen Pass (1,504 m), famous for a church tower rising out of the waters of the Rechensee lake, a real highlight of this tour awaits you. The Stelvio Pass (2,757m), the "Queen of the Alpine passes" and the second highest asphalted mountain pass in the Alps after the Col de l'Iseran in France. There are 48 hairpin bends in the north and 34 hairpin bends in the south waiting to be conquered. Spectacular alpine panoramas, including extensive glaciers, steep rock faces and picturesque valleys round off this experience. At the Umbrail Pass (2,503m) we cross the Swiss border. This is followed by the Ofen Pass (2,149m) and a ride through a narrow, single-lane tunnel to reach the Italian "Little Tibet". Livigno, declared a duty-free zone by Napoleon due to its exposed location, which used to be almost inaccessible in winter, is a ski resort in the Italian Alps close to the Swiss border and our destination for today's stage.

Day  12 Livigno - Lake Garda

Today's destination is the largest lake in Italy, Lake Garda, and the route there has a few highlights in store for you. We leave Livigno via the Passo di Foscagno (2,291m). Passing Bormio, we head over the Passo di Gavia (2,621m), which couldn't be more spectacular. The route continues in the same vein and follows the Passo di Croce Domini (1,892m) to reach Lake Garda via Lake Idro and Lake Ledro.

Day  13 Rest day at Lake Garda

Another rest day invites you to enjoy the wonderful ambience at the lake and relax on a walk, or to spend another spectacular day on the bike with us.

Day  14 Lake Garda - Lienz

The next day begins with the journey to a real biker's paradise. The Dolomites attract countless motorcyclists from all over the world every year. It is rare to find such impressive landscapes with such well-maintained roads. The mountains themselves, which got their name from the Frenchman Deodat de Dolomieu, are ideal photo motifs with their colors and shapes. It is therefore not surprising that this region has already attracted many international film crews. We spend the night in Lienz. This small town in Austria impresses with its beautiful old town and the opportunity to take a stroll in the evening.

Day  15 Lienz - Munich

The final stage takes us along one of the most beautiful panoramic roads to Austria's highest mountain, the Grossglockner (3,798 m), and on through the picturesque Bavarian Alpine foothills. To save some time, we drive the last few kilometers on the freeway. The section to Munich is known for its scenic route. There is no fixed speed limit on parts of the highway and we enjoy being able to drive a little faster on our comfortable BMW motorcycles. The mountains behind us get smaller and smaller and we finally reach Munich, where this extraordinary motorcycle adventure ends.

Day  16 Departure from Munich

Have a safe journey home! Maybe you're already dreaming of your next motorcycle adventure with us? We would be delighted to welcome you again on one of our tours!
