As the border mountains between France and Spain, the Pyrenees offer the ideal conditions for wonderful days on a motorcycle. French and Spanish cuisine is among the best in the world, so this tour includes everything a motorcyclist's heart desires.
This tour starts in Barcelona. Its location on the Mediterranean gives the city a pleasant climate and the Pyrenees inland are perfect for our tour. Our route takes us to Pamplona. The roads there are in perfect condition and we enjoy the fresh air in the huge forests. We soon see the imposing cathedral, which shows us the way to the city center. Every year, countless people are attracted by the bullfights. In the morning before the bullfights, the animals are driven through the old town and daredevils run ahead. Those who don't come to any harm have earned the respect of the locals. Biarritz in the far southwest of France has made a name for itself as a seaside resort. Even the Austrian Empress Sissi used to relax there. But after a wild ride through the mountains, perhaps you fancy a dance? The Charleston was danced here early on. Or perhaps you'd like to take advantage of the high waves of the Atlantic Ocean to ride a few waves on a surfboard? Our change of country to France is perceived with astonishment and all the following kilometers will impress you with the succession of valleys and passes, here every motorcyclist gets his pleasure. The mountains get even higher the next day and we stop in the pilgrimage town of Lourdes. Some of our customers have already joked that they would have overlooked Andorra if it hadn't appeared as a border on the GPS. Nevertheless, it is always an experience to find yourself in one of Europe's typical dwarf states. Andorra is still a tax haven today. Administered by the French head of state and a Spanish bishop, this place enjoys a special position on the map of Europe. The drive back to Barcelona is exactly the kind of road we associate with the Pyrenees. Little traffic, drivers who respect motorcyclists and a succession of hairpin bends and curves reminiscent of a fast Spanish dance.
